loan service has greatly improved the accessibility of my work.”
Seid Zeynu, Young Entrepreneur and WASH Loan Beneficiary
Seid Zeynu, a dynamic young entrepreneur, became a beneficiary of Dire Microfinance’s WASH loan program through its partnership with Aqua for All. He established a small enterprise producing hygiene products such as liquid soap, shampoo, and detergents under the brand names Zemas, Kefira, and Shega.
Previously, Seid struggled to distribute his products due to transportation challenges. Thanks to an additional vehicle loan from Dire Microfinance, he now delivers his goods efficiently, reaching customers not only in Dire Dawa but also in surrounding communities.
Beyond strengthening his own business, Seid has created employment opportunities for more than 30 individuals. Many of his employees had no prior work experience, but through this initiative they have gained professional skills, secured livelihoods, and now support their families.
Seid emphasizes that Dire Microfinance’s WASH loan services have been transformative — not only for his enterprise but also for the wider community. By sharing his success story, he encourages others to take advantage of WASH financing and improve both their lives and their neighborhoods.
