He was born and raised in Kulbi and he came to Dire dawa in 1992 in Ethiopian Calendar. He worked hard to earn a living, to help others and not only himself in Dire dawa.
Among the jobs he did, our guest, who worked at a gas station for a while, and he came to Dire Micro-Finance with the intention of starting his own business. Dire Micro-Finance is open to those who love work and are willing to work and change and he welcomed them with joy.
For our guest, who is hardworking, who loves work, who is standing on today and longs for tomorrow’s success, Dire Micro-Finance opened its doors to him. And for the first time, he borrowed 300 thousand birr from Dire Micro-Finance’s Sabian branch and started his own business.
Our guest states that Dire Micro-Finance has played a significant role in helping him and others survive by engaging in cattle breeding, blueket production and other sectors. He says that Dire Micro-Finance is the one who gave him the capital to start his business when no one else was providing him with it, and that it was Dire Micro-Finance that was the catalyst for his success.
He added that it was Dire Micro-Finance that laid the foundation for his current level of development.
Currently, he has 50 cows and supplies milk to the Dire Dawa community; produces more than 2000 bluekets which is an input for construction purpose per day and is also key in for the construction sector. and says that working with Dire Micro-Finance will be effective and successful.
When asked to describe Dire Micro-Finance, which has created employment opportunities for more than 20 people, Serkalem Sisay said that he considers Dire Micro-Finance to be his family. He said this because Dire Micro-Finance has shown its support for his work whenever he needs a loan and the institution has provided him with the necessary support when he needs money for his work.
Our guest, who stated that it is playing a major role in serving youth and women and increasing their economic benefits, especially young people, if they work with the institution and use the loans they have taken properly and study and identify the work they are doing first, there is no reason why they cannot make a difference in their lives and help others.
