Dire Micro-Finance Institution donated educational materials to students who need support at a cost of more than 150,000 birr.

In addition to the regular loan and savings services, the institution, in fulfillment of its social responsibility, today donated educational materials for 100 students to the Dire dawa administration Education Office.

Mr. Teshome Abebe, Chief Executive Officer of Dire  Micro-Finance Institution, who attended the handover ceremony, recalled that Dire Micro-Finance Institution is actively participating in community services besides providing loans and savings services to the low-income sections of the society in addition to increasing their economic benefits. He stated that Dire Micro-Finance Institution was able to contribute school supplies such as bags, notebooks, pens and pencils at a cost of more than 150,000 birr to help future students and to support the education sector.

Teshome Abebe, the chief executive officer of the institution, confirmed that Dire Micro-Finance will continue such support in the future.

On his part, the Deputy Head of the Education Bureau, Mr. Abubeker Adosh, expressed his gratitude for the support provided by Dire Micro-Finance in supporting the campaign of the Education for Generation Program to prevent any students from missing school due to the lack of educational materials. He stated that the institution’s support today showed its commitment to the community and made a unique contribution in terms of fulfilling its social responsibility.

Mr. Abubakar said that Dire Micro-Finance has worked hard to increase the economic benefits of the Dire Dawa community since its inception and has now reached a high level. He stated that the whole society should support the institution and do its part to increase its contribution to the society.

Mr. Abubakar mentioned that Dire Micro-Finance is working closely and cooperatively with the Diredawa administration Education Office, stating that he is working to bring the relationship between the institutions to a higher level, and conveyed his message to Dire Micro-Finance to continue its support.
