Dire Micro-Finance has held a Meal Sharing Program

Dire Micro-Finance has held a meal sharing program for the needy community members on the occasion of the 1446th Ramadan, spending over 600 thousand birr.

Dire Micro-Finance is playing a leading role in community services in addition to its regular services. The institution shared a meal with more than 120 community members on the occasion of the fasting month of Ramadan, in the presence of the members of the institution’s Board of Directors, Honorable Ms. Hukumiya Mohammed, Honorable Mr Robel Getachew, the CEO of the institution, Ato Teshome Abebe, members of the institution’s Sharia Board, Sheikh Ibrahim Zeinu, Sheikh Mohammed Omar, and members of the institution’s management.

 The guest of honor of the day, Dire Micro-Finance Board of Directors member and Head of the Dire Dawa Administration Women, Children and Social Affairs Bureau, Honorable Ms. Hukumiya Mohammed, in her message, expressed her gratitude for the significant contribution that Dire Micro-Finance is making in this regard, stating that in addition to the credit and savings services it provides to the community, it is also carrying out various community-wide services.

 Stressing that it is very important to make mutual support and assistance a common practice and a culture, Ms. Hukumiya also noted that being on the side of those in need and seeking support can reduce the level of poverty, and that all segments of society should contribute their share.

 The CEO of Dire Micro-Finance, Ato Teshome Abebe, said that in addition to the regular services provided by the institution, it is playing a significant role in community services, and mentioned that the meal sharing program is also part of this. The CEO explained that the meal sharing program was conducted in a manner that took into account the Sharia laws of Tekaful, where one supports another and fulfills the spiritual responsibility of brotherhood.

The guests of honor of the day and members of the board of directors of Dire Microfinance said that the meal sharing program conducted by Dire Micro-Finance, in addition to changing the lives of many people and improving their livelihoods, has made them profitable and effective, and has shown its commitment and sense of belonging to the community.

The community members who received food and financial assistance on the day expressed their gratitude and their great joy at the institution’s contribution.
