DireMicro–FinanceInstitution inaugurated its branch, which it named Halole Branch, with a grand opening ceremony in the presence of DireMicro–FinanceInstitution Board of Directors members and invited guests.
DMFI is reaching out to the underserved segments of society and expanding its reach, while also increasing its financial inclusion.
DMFI held its inauguration program, as part of its financial outreach and as a result of its efforts to reach out to its customers.
The guest of honor of the day, Head of the Finance and Economic Development Bureau of the Dire Dawa Administration and a member of the Board of Directors of the Dire Micro-Fnance Institution, Ms. Muluka Mohammed, said that the institution has laid the foundation for helping low-income people and bringing meaningful changes in their lives. Ms. Muluka Mohammed, who stated that the institution is recording growth from time to time, also indicated that encouraging work is being done in implementing interest-free loan and savings services and using technology.
Noting that the inauguration of the Halole branch of Dire Micro-Finance today is an indication that the institution is expanding its reach, Ms. Muluka called on stakeholders to support the institution to accelerate its growth and serve the users of the service in a better way. She called on stakeholders in the banking sector present at the inauguration program, and assured that the Dire Dawa Administration and the Board of Directors of the institution will continue to support and monitor the institution.
The CEO of Dire Micro-Finance Institution, Ato Teshome Abebe, said that Dire Microfinance is playing a significant role in providing access to low-income and entrepreneurship-minded segments of society, and that it is opening branches in both urban and rural areas, including Harar and Jigjiga, and is implementing digital financing to provide financial services in a customer-oriented manner.
Stating that his institution is working hard to reach and reach its customers, Ato Teshome said that Dire Micro-Finance Institution, which was inaugurated , is the result of the continuous support and supervision of the institution’s leaders, employees, the Dire Dawa administration, and the institution’s board of directors.
The executives of the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia and the Oromia Cooperative Bank, who were present at the inauguration program, expressed their contentment with the fact that Dire Micro-Finance Institution is expanding its reach, and noted that the institution is constantly updating its operations. The bank executives stated that they are working closely with Dire Micro-Finance and will continue to strengthen their partnership and support with the institution.
The founding members of Dire Micro-Finance General Assembly, who have known Dire Micro-Finance from the past to the present, also expressed their happiness at seeing Dire Micro-finance grow and change to this level.
When Dire Micro-Finance Halole Branch was inaugurated, a poem was presented to introduce the institution, and the guests of honor and invited guests of the inauguration program visited the branch office and work process.
